Oriel Resort + Spa
Oriel specializes in providing various wellness opportunities to guests. Extensive research was collected for the project, mainly around what the hotel’s name and iconography would be like. The name of the hotel means a type of bay window, which are prevalent in San Francisco, where the hotel is located. The name was chosen due to the theme of self-reflection imbued into the hotel, with windows tying into that theme. Another theme included for the hotel was time, and specifically finding the time to unwind, going along with the hotel’s focus on wellness. Images of clocks are included in the branding to call upon this theme. The target audience for the project is anyone hoping to have a rejuvenating stay at a boutique hotel in San Francisco. The design style is simple, with earthy tones and serif type to promote the feeling of wellness the hotel provides.
